Fix Slow Wi-Fi with these Tips
iGadget-24/ PUBLISHED: OCT-16-2019
You deserve a Better Wi-Fi Connection! And you can have just by following the below tips and tricks.
Have you ever experienced long loading times or video buffering when you are trying to stream a video, watch your favourite movie or play a game? Do you regularly lose connectivity to your Wi-Fi network at home? Are network speeds so low that it takes forever to even upload a picture?
Well you are in the right place.
1. Change Places
Wi-Fi routers need an open space toward the centre of a place to ensure optimal coverage. Be aware that walls and floors will impede Wi-Fi signals, so the more obstructions you have between your devices and your router, the weaker the signal will be. Try to avoid proximity with anything that could limit its coverage.
We all do know though that it's not always possible to place router in the middle of our house or office. We also do need Internet everywhere, not in a room only. However, if you are experiencing bad Wi-Fi signal, try changing router's place.
2. Change Channel
Interference is a big issue, especially for those who live in densely populated areas. Signals from other wireless networks can impact your Internet speed.
Most of the modern routers will try to chose the best channel for you. That channels is the one with the least crowded channel, but many cheaper routers will just choose a predefined channel, even if it isn't the best one. That could be a problem.
Depending on your model, you could try searching how to change your channel online. Most of the times it's not a difficult procedure.
3. Restart it
It might sound silly, but a restart might help you when internet connection is really bad.
Search your router for that small button that restarts your device. Press it and give it some time to re-configure settings.
You could also try turning it off manually, maybe unplug it, wait a couple of minutes and then turn it back on.
It has worked for us, what about you?
4. Set Up a Wireless Range Extender
Ok, if none of the above tips worked, then the issue is more persistent and you need to act accordingly.
The best solution is to try an Internet amplifier. We strongly suggest you to use Wifi UltraBoost. Wifi UltraBoost is essentially two cutting-edge WiFi router and a powerful amplifier, all in one tiny box. It connects to your existing network and acts as a signal repeater, literally doubling your networks range.
Below you can find more information on that.
